The Benefits of Using a Jewelry Chuck Rotary With Your Radian Laser

This week Radian Laser Systems released a short video showcasing the ability to mark on the inside of a ring using the Radian Mini desktop fiber laser. This brings us to the question, “How it was done?”. Radian Laser Systems offers our customers the option to add accessories to all of the galvo lasers we sell. The jewelry chuck shown in the video is a standard accessory that can be easily adjusted to hold rings and bracelets for marking on the inside or the outside of the item to be engraved. The featured Mini 3D desktop fiber laser has the capability to mark both small and large objects with or without a curve. the jewelry chuck is ideal for holding items to be marked and automatically moving them to allow for full 360-degree marking on the item. An advantage of the 3D laser is that it does not require rotating the item if full wrapping is not required. With 3D, marking on the curve (inside or out) can be done without rotation. However, if the mark needs to be bigger than approximately 145 degrees of the curve or if the laser is only a 2D model then the chuck rotary is always required for marking on curves.

Accessories can be ordered when purchasing the laser or at a later time. The accessory simply plugs into the Mini desktop system. The included software is easily configured to accommodate marking rings, bracelets or other items that require precise engraving.

The Jewelry chuck rotary not only works with our mini fiber laser but can be configured to work with our other fiber lasers, co2 lasers, uv lasers, and flatbed lasers to expand the materials that can be marked.

Stay tuned for more accessories to come that will enhance the laser engraving experience.
