What Is the Radian Laser Automation API?

It's a software integration platform that connects your business systems directly to Radian laser systems. Instead of building a laser job by hand for every order, the job information comes from software you already run and is processed through the centralized Radian API Server.

The server prepares each job using predefined production settings and makes it available to the laser for engraving. Your software never has to talk to individual laser controllers — it talks to one API Server that manages job creation, machine communication, and production status.

Automated Part Handling

Cobot Integration

The Feature
The Radian API controls more than the laser — it integrates with a cobot too. The same API Server that preps and runs each job commands a collaborative robot (cobot) to load raw parts and unload finished ones, in step with the marking cycle. Order data in, the cobot loads the part, the laser marks it, the cobot removes it — no hands in the loop.
The Advantage
Most automation stops at the laser and still needs an operator to load and unload every part. When the API orchestrates the cobot, part handling is automated end to end — pick, place, mark, and remove — turning a tended machine into a self-running production cell. This is true robotic laser marking, where the same pipeline that creates the job also moves the material.

Lights-out manufacturing. Parts move themselves, the laser runs unattended, and one person can oversee several machines instead of tending one. Barcode-Driven Production

The platform supports barcode- and QR-code-driven job retrieval. An operator scans a code at the laser, the laser requests the matching job from the API Server, and the server returns the right job for engraving. Less manual job selection, fewer wrong-file errors, better accuracy.

Do I need programmers to use it?

Yes.
